Community Connections

Marian Reich, Assitant Director, with a group from the Republic of Georgia

The Community Connections program is an initiative of the U.S. Agency for International Development and is administered by World Learning. The program provides professionals from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan with an opportunity to participate in business and professional programs exposing them to various aspects of the American commerce, civic and legal systems.

WorldChicago arranges professional programs and business internships for participants based on their objectives, interests and experience. In addition to their professional programs, participants experience Chicago through visits to exciting venues throughout the city during their three-week stay. Perhaps, most importantly, participants live with our homestay families. This important relationship helps foster cultural exchange and builds lasting friendships.
